Margarita Fest Draws Thousands: Happy Tequila Featured

Jacksonville, FL – Happy Tequila was a featured brand at this year’s Margarita Fest, the largest gathering of it’s type in Florida, boasting more than 3,000 guests all intent on sampling the finest tequilas available in the market.  Many left the Happy Tequila booth with a Mexican "smile".

Liquor Group also featured three new tequila brands at this years event, each that they recently introduced in the State of Florida: Deleon Tequila, Fat Ass Tequila and Tradicion Azul Tequla.  These product lines each have a specific target audience, Deleon for tequila aficionados seeking the ultimate in smoothness, Fat Ass for tequila rebels, many who just love ordering it by name, and Tradicion Azul for those who know what it is to have a “Tequila Story”, and all were welcome additions to the tequila landscape at this massive event.

"Ole! Derby Day" McGala a Huge Happy Success

May 1, 2010 - Ponte Vedra Beach, FL - The 16th Annual Ronald McDonald House® Charity McGala held at the world famous Sawgrass Marriott Resort featured the Kentucky Derby Live Simulcast and a Mexican Fiesta theme complete with great food, entertainment and giving.  Liquor Group donated the bar for the $350 per couple event, which included Happy Rum and some of Liquor Group's finest products such as: Old Pogue Bourbon, Ocean Organic Vodka from Hawaii, Columbus Rum and Fat Ass Tequila.

After "betting" on the big race, more than 500 guests watched the action on big screens inside the ballroom and sat down for a wonderful four course meal.  Many guests sponsored families staying at a Ronald McDonald House® for a year, six months, three months, a month or a week, and all were rewarded with a feeling of joy to know they had helped those in need.  Each donor received a balloon for their commitment and the air above all of the tables quickly filled with them.  A silent auction featured a variety of items for guests to take home including artwork, jewelry, golf items, trips and gift certificates to popular restaurants.  A local favorite band Pro Bono got everyone up and dancing after dinner.

The event raised almost $350,000 (almost $100,000 more this year than last) for the House program thanks to Presenting Sponsor Vistakon®. A big thanks to everyone that attended the event; and Liquor Group looks forward to seeing more of you next year!
