September 23-30, 2004 - Los Angeles, CA - In Cannes , France during their annual film festival Happy Vodka was the delight of every party that it made an appearance. Now performing at the 5 th Annual Silver Lake film festival in Los Angeles , California : Happy Vodka, Happy Rum & Happy Tequila, who have stolen the show as the presenting sponsors! “THE ZONE”, a 32,000 square foot loft space was the hub of festival events, which included an art exhibit with curator, performance art, live music and of course, Happy products!

This festival is a leading independent film festival, with an ambitious programming schedule of more than 250 film screenings and related arts events. The festival's primary screening venue is the ArcLight Cinemas in Hollywood with special events programming held at Barnsdall Art Park, the Gene Autry Museum of the American West and other venues throughout the city's Eastside.

“This is a coup for Happy” says C. J. Eiras, President of Happy Vodka Corporation, “We have been selling well in NEXCOM and AAFES locations throughout Virginia, and now we are thrilled to be listed with the state and selling in all the state stores!” The placement is a testament to the hard work and dedication of the spirits broker firm Sparrow & Associates owner David Sparrow and his dedicated team. “Happy is a great brand, we see it as a long term success,” says Sparrow “and we were willing to wait for the production to get straightened out before we moved ahead in Virginia and North Carolina .”

The presentation of the 2004 festival's Spirit of Silver Lake Awards for achievement in independent cinema to Laura Dern and Mark Ruffalo and the lifetime-achievement Filmmaker Award to Curtis Harrington. “This year's festival proves that independent film and the arts are alive and well in the entertainment capital of the world,” said Ptacek, one of the original founders of the festival.” Happy products are being spotted more and more frequently at these star studded events, and although it is not nearly the most expensive product on the market, it is certainly becoming a celeb favorite!

Overall, Californians just can't seem to get enough Happy, and the sponsorship of yet another major “ Hollywood ” event proves that Happy has become a mainstay of the entertainment industry!
